Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Krumholz is a leader in the field of star formation and the dynamical evolution of the interstellar medium. He is particularly known for his work on the formation of massive stars and has developed a model that relates the process of stellar birth to the statistical properties of the turbulent flows in the galactic gas. During his stay in Germany, he will continue these highly successful research activities to connect the theoretical approach more closely to the observational domain.
